Everyday is a playdate

Having a baby brother is the best. I mean, aside from the spit up and all the new toys, I wasn't so sure that being a big brother was going to be all that great. But it is. Brandon and I are best buddies already. He is really interested in me. I like to sit up next to him and he likes to tug at my excess neck fur. And I've been told there's quite a lot of excess! He pokes me in the eye and sometimes flails while I'm in his path, but I just take it like a real Bugg. That's what friends are for, right? In return, he lets me smell the occasional ripe diaper and steal the occasional kiss. It's a match made in heaven.

Tummy Time

We've been doing a lot of tummy time around here lately, although not nearly what I'd like. My mom had to go back to work and now us Buggs are alone all day. We had a good run there. Mom was home for 5 months. We had three walks a day and we cuddled in bed well into the morning. But things have changed. Molly and I have to entertain ourselves all day. I mean, my mom doesn't even leave the baby at home to play with. Does he get to go to work with her? No fair!! So now I have to really take advantage of my weekends. Try to get as much tummy time as I can. But somebody better explain to Molly that tummy time means that you are actually on your TUMMY!!

Happy Valentines Day from the Bs

I miss my Dewey!

I would do anything for my Uncle Dewey. When he gets tired, I'll be his pillow. When he needs love, I'll lick his chops. I miss him. Maybe I can manipulate my parents into bringing me back to Vegas? I guess Molly can come too...

Rain, rain go away

Oh man, I hate this weather. I want to go outside so bad but it just wont let up. I mean, what are we Buggs supposed to do all day? We've already destroyed all our stuffed animals and we've torn through a raw hide. What else is there? I stick my head out of my dog door periodically to get a feel for the weather. This has put a serious cramp on my style...no walks...and I have to go potty so bad. Guess I'll just have to go in the guest bedroom again....

The most wonderful time of the year!

Well, the Buggs were remembered generously in the gift department this year: Pupcorn from Sandy, stuffed toys (already gutted) from my Hal, Christmas loofas from mom and dad. plus a bed and blankets from my Grandma Carol. Brandon got a bunch of gifts that look pretty enticing to me too. It sure was fun to have so many visitors throughout the day, but man, are we ever pooped!

Sweater Weather

Its the most wonderful time of the year, but why do we have to wear these ugly Christmas sweaters? I mean its cold and all, but can't we get a nice jogging suit or something? I like Christmas...there is a stuffed snowman in the living room I have my eye on. Molly already gutted a snowman pillow. But why did my mom have to put a fence around the tree? There was no fence last year and Molly and I only ripped into a few presents. There just happened to be one piece of chocolate in one gift among at least two dozen gifts and we managed to find it. I guess underneath these sweaters lie some superpowers!

Molly's Public Service Announcement

Hello, my name is Molly, and I'm an addict. The first step is admitting it! As you may have heard, I "overdosed" on my mom's blood pressure medication this week. My mom left her meds on the kitchen table and I was desperate for my next fix, so I went on up there and tore into that bottle. Bugsy had never used before so I pressured him into it. We both took a hit and my mom found us an hour later. It was not my finest moment--I was non responsive, lethargic and basically catatonic. My family had to conduct an intervention immediately. They took us to the vet and we had to induce vomit...the drugs were out and I was already jonesing for my next fix. Bugsy was fine, but I had to go to medical detox--the product of many years of addiction. I had to be on an IV and be monitored overnight. They always say an addict has to hit rock bottom before they are prepared to quit. Just say no to drugs!!!
