I'm nearly competition ready!

That's right...I'm getting pretty darn good at this agility thing. I am even beginning to go parts of the course on my own. I'm practically the valedictorian of my class!

Just one of the boys...

Damn, life is good as a bachelor! My uncle Randy and I hung out all week, when my parents and grandparents went on vacation in Boston. Camlo and Mikey came over too. We BBQ'd hamburgers, watched 100s of hours of baseball, gambled online, and just hung out during the day. I would have liked to gamble some more, but my parents simply don't give me a big enough allowance. I wrestled with my Uncle Mikey, too. My aunt Dutchess was the odd woman out, since she was surrounded by all us macho men. My grandpa said she is glad to be rid of me. I just don't get it though...all I want to do is play. I'm usually so irresistable!

Anyway, my mom and dad said they had a great trip. I'm glad to be back at my own pad now, since my grandma doesn't have a dog door. I like the freedom to come and go as I please. I'm a big boy now, afterall.

I hope I get to hang out with my homeboys again someday. They're coo', you know?! Gotta go...I have another agility class.

Another eventful weekend...

Once again, I had a full social calendar this weekend. We went to San Diego to see my grandma and grandpa, Uncle Randy, and of course, my aunt Dutchess. My aunt Dutchess has so many babies; I took all 8 out and spread them out all over the house. I even tore one of them to shreds. It's awfully nice of her to let me play with all her toys. Of course, she is much older now and doesn't seem too interested in them anyway. She isn't interested in me either!
But my grandma has the best garden. I could play there all day. I scale the hill and smell all her flowers. I bark at the occassional passer by. It's a good life in San Diego. My parents tell me that my uncle Randy is going to be my roommate next week, since they will be in Boston with grandma and grandpa. So, I'm guessing I'll probably spend the week gambling, watching baseball on TV and playing video games. I'm pretty pumped! Until then...

I could do these obstacles in my sleep...

I had my second agility class today and man, I am getting really good. I hardly need a running start to get over those hurdles. And I was jumping over the hurdles at the same height that the big dogs were jumping over. My new favorite friend is the Italian Mastif in the class. My whole body is about the size of his head, but he and I are just alike. He likes to roll around on his back too. I licked his chops and sniffed his butt and now we're best buddies. Here is some more footage of my escapades today...

Snug as a Bug

Oh man, I have had such a busy life lately. I'm beat! First, I think the construction at the house is finally complete. Carpet guys, tile layers, and plumbers in and out...it wears on you when you are tasked with guarding the house.
Then I had my great grandpa here, plus my grandma and grandpa and uncle Randy. My parents have had me practicing my agility training all week. I'm getting pretty good but man, I just can't get enough sleep lately. I'm like my mom!
I understand we are going to San Diego this weekend to visit my aunt Dutchess. I better catch my zzz's so I don't miss one moment of my visit. Pleasant dreams...

I did it again...another successful party

I hosted a 4th of July BBQ yesterday. What a success! And, as usual, I had the perfect attire. My grandparents Duke and Carol, grand aunt Diane, uncle Randy, and great-grandpa John joined me for some tri tip and twice baked potatoes. Yum...yes, I had some too!

We watched some fireworks from our backyard. We didn't even have to go anywhere to see them. Although I love riding in the car, so I wouldn't have minded too much.

I guess my dad's birthday is coming up, so I'll have to plan something then. Bye now!

The newest agility champion

I started my agility training this week. I'm a pretty good athlete I guess. My dad brought me around to the different stations. I'll admit it, I was pretty hestitant at first, but now I'm ready to add more obstacles to my repertiore. Here's a few videos of my first efforts...

Here is a video of me going through the tunnel. Between the A-Frame and the Platform A-Frame, the tunnel is my other best obstacle.

Here is a video of me (attempting) to do the weave poles. My teacher April says the weave poles are the hardest thing for a dog to learn. I think I'll pick it up pretty quick, because I'm a fast learner.

This is me on the A-Frame platform. I dominated this one. I'd have to say, I was probably the best in my class at this obstacle. This one dog in my class, a bull-mastiff was so large, he couldn't walk on this thing, he kept falling off. Poor guy. He only wishes he was nimble and agile like me. Of course, he could swallow me whole, so I better not get on his bad side.

I'm gonna practice this week so I can be the best in my class. There are a few dogs who have taken this class before, so they were kind of showing off. I'll train real hard, kind of like Rocky does in every movie before a big fight. Then I'll show those dogs who is the best in agility. You'll probably see me on some Espn dog agility competition in a few months. Just remember, you saw the videos of my first agility training session right here, on http://heythisisbugsy.blogspot.com. Everything is out of whack

My parents are having tile put in the house and my whole world has been turned upside down. There are strange men in the house and they make really loud noises. I'm not allowed to go into certain rooms so I am couped up in the guest room. They won't let me eat the spacers even though they are oh so enticing. I can't walk on the tile when it is drying because my nails might ruin the grout. Too many rules...and teenagers never follow the rules.

I can't wait until this is all over with. But I'll tell you, it sure does look nice. I was so embarrassed to have that icky vinyl tile. We are better than that. I guess I'll have to throw a tile unveiling party or something.

I'm hosting a 4th of July BBQ this weekend, so that should be fun. My whole life is one party after the next. I do throw a mean party! I'll let you know how it goes.
